Meet the Chiropractors

  • Meet
    Dr. Collins

Dr. Lambert Collins was raised in Austin and received degrees from the University of North Texas and Texas Chiropractic College. He served on the Board of Regents of Texas Chiropractic College and is a past board member of the Texas Chiropractic Association.  Dr. Collins holds certifications in Applied Clinical Nutrition (ACN), Advanced Nutrition Response Testing, and Acupuncture (FIAMA-certified) . He and his wife, Lorrie have supported the Katy and West Houston communities with natural healthcare services since 2008.

“I am a first-hand witness of how effective chiropractic care can be.  I suffered severe back pain many years ago when I bent over to pick up my laptop from the coffee table.  I had done this move countless times before.  But this time, I heard a pop.  Instantly, the pain took me to my knees.  I was unable to walk or sit comfortably.  I was told to take a pain medication and rest for a week.

I was never one to take pharmaceutical drugs, and moreover, I could not afford a week of downtime!  I was encouraged by a friend to see a chiropractor.  I took that advice and was amazed by how quickly I got relief.  During this time, I was a representative for a pharmaceutical company.  I was becoming disillusioned at seeing patients deal with side-effects while using drugs to resolve chronic issues.  The drugs seemed to just suppress symptoms and cause more problems that they were resolving.  I was drawn to learn more about the science of Chiropractic, which helps the body heal itself naturally.  That day that I hurt my back was the day that put me on a path to a new career – as a doctor of chiropractic.

I strongly believe that there is a place for all the miraculous medical breakthroughs we are experiencing in the medical community today.  There are many life-saving drugs and surgical procedures available to us.  However, in our haste for a quick fix, we often turn to these measures much too early.  Many times, our health issues can be resolved completely without the need for drugs and surgery and the risks these bring.  Sometimes, simple and natural is the best way.”

  • Meet Dr. Mosley

Dr. Adraine Mosely is a native Houstonian.  She received her undergraduate degree in music from Spelman College in Atlanta.  She became a doctor of chiropractic,  graduating from Texas Chiropractic College (TCC) in Pasadena.  She worked as a professor at TCC for 8 years, where she served as a Clinical Attending for the Interns in the student clinic, as well.  She has also delivered chiropractic services to thousands of patients in clinics across the state of Texas.

'Growing up, I worked in my father's dental office.  I have many dentists in my family and I was encouraged to follow that path, but I did not have a passion for it.  It seemed the more I was pushed in that direction, the more I resisted.  My first love was music and the performing arts.

After graduating high school, I was invited to join an international touring cast of “Up with People”.  If you’re over the age of 40, you may remember “Up with People”.  It was a global group of young adults from countries all over the world promoting positivity, multiculturalism and other humanitarian themes through community service and performance arts.  It was exciting to travel to so many countries and meet so many other young leaders.  I went on to study music at Spelman College in Atlanta, where I earned a Bachelor degree in Music.  After graduating college, I returned to “Up with People” – this time in the role of a Dance Captain.

One day, on my way to rehearsal, I was involved in a bad car accident.  Days after the accident, I was in a lot of pain.  I didn’t want to take pain meds that would make me drowsy.  I had an upcoming performance that I didn’t want to miss.  The show manager suggested that I try a chiropractor.  I took the advice and was amazed at how much better I felt after a few visits.

Early in my treatment, during a rehearsal, I attempted and performed a double pirouette instead of a single pirouette, without thinking!  I couldn’t believe it!  I’d always had trouble with this dance move.  My fellow dancers also looked on in shock.  They could not believe it, either.  After learning that chiropractic had put my body in better balance; enabling better posture, balance, and mobility – it became clear why I was now able to do even a TRIPLE pirouette!  Needless to say, all my fellow dancers began getting chiropractic adjustments too.

I learned so much from my chiropractor.  She really became a mentor to me.  Fast forward several years – I became a chiropractor.  It has been so fulfilling for me to help my patients achieve better health in a natural way. “
